Expansion of production - a new line for the production of mineral wool

Saint Gobain, the Častolovice production plant, has expanded its production with a new mineral wool line. Our company competed in the tender for the realization of electrical and MaR parts, where we finally succeeded in the section of high-current electrical installation.

Implementation began in July 2024 and concluded with the transfer to trial operation at the end of March 2025.

The powertrain package also included part of the VN. We started with the connection from the existing TS1 transformer station to the new TS4 substation using VN cables, then we continued with the encapsulated BUSBAR connection from the TS4 transformer station to the NN switchboards OKKEN 3000A (modular design of switchboards from Schneider Electric). We equipped the substation with another 27 pieces of technological switchboards in the production of which Spálovský, a.s. We installed all these switchboards in positions and then provided wiring to individual appliances. In total, we installed about 80 km of cables.

An integral part of the heavy current was also the construction wiring, within which we installed over 600 luminaires in the production hall, including all grounding, technology interconnection and lightning rod (DEHN system with extended isolated HVI wires).
