Vysoké Chvojno Water Tank – Electrical and I&C

For KVIS Pardubice a.s., we participated in the project to replace the elevated water tank in the municipality of Vysoké Chvojno, where we provided the electrical and I&C components. The project began with the preparation of the detailed design documentation and continued with the implementation itself in two consecutive phases.

In the first phase in 2024, we installed the grounding system into the foundations of the new water tank. The second part took place in September 2025, when the construction of the new water tank and the installation of key technological elements followed.

As part of the delivery, we implemented a modern measurement and control (I&C) system. We equipped the water tank with tensometric level measurement, a maximum level sensor, and an inclinometer for monitoring the object's tilt. This also included free chlorine and pH measurement from Endress+Hauser. In the electrical part, we supplied object lighting and heating cables for the inlet and outlet pipelines.

The project also included modifications to the RM2 distribution board in the water tank's switchgear, the addition of a control system including backup batteries, and software and visualization adjustments. We collaborated with GDF on this part. A security system was also installed throughout the entire facility, in cooperation with SITEL.

After completing the installations, we carried out the necessary tests, arranged for technical inspections and certifications, and commissioned the technology.

Project Benefits
The new elevated water tank provides greater storage capacity, modern technological infrastructure, and higher operational reliability. The I&C system, water quality measurement, security, and electrical system modifications help ensure safe and stable water supply operations in the municipalities of Vysoké Chvojno and Habřina.
